THE LIFE AND SOUL OF THE HOTEL

The Empire has a history dating back 75 years, offers unbeatable facilities and services, luxurious high specification rooms and is in a superb location in the beautiful Victorian town of Llandudno. However, what really sets us apart and makes it all come together is our fantastic team whose loyalty, dedication and personality make staying, and working, in the hotel a joy. Many of our team have been with us for decades, most have been with us for years and some are just starting their career at The Empire. It is this loyalty and experience that makes the hotel run smoothly and allows us to offer a professional service with personality and charm. We don't see our people as staff but as family. THE MANAGEMENT

Elyse and Michael Waddy apply a safe pair of hands to the running of the hotel. Having grown up in the hotel, Elyse knows it better than anyone and has been at the helm for almost 30 years. Michael provides experience and leadership as Head Chef in the hotel.

OLD LIFERS

With between 20 and 40 years service some of the team get affectionately called "Lifers". Regular guests will know the Lifers well and enjoy catching up year after year.
